Moments of Abundance
I worked on this series from autumn 2020 to summer 2021. Around 30 paintings on the subject of abundance were created from a limited color palette. This resulted in a series of predominantly smaller paintings on paper and canvas. The feeling of inner wealth, and the joy, love and gratitude associated with it, inspired the paintings. This feeling of abundance is related to experiences and encounters with significant people and memories of places. Childhood memories, my garden and my grandmother's wonderful farm house & garden play an important role in this. The series is about being touched by the lavish abundance of life, that is reflected in the memories of encounters, relathionships and connections to people and nature.
